My love affair with photography started on a weekend trip to the ocean to see the annual Longbeach Kite Festival in Longbeach, Washington.  I bought a few disposable cameras and wandered along photographing the brilliantly colored kites. I became absorbed framing the kites and chasing them. But back home, I was shocked to see the soaring kites had turned to tiny flowers in a vast blue sky. I was hooked then and began a lifelong process of trying to make images that are true to my creative vision.
